Love. Essence of Life.

                    Love. Essence of Life.

Many sometimes wonder, why are we here? What are we, as humans, doing here? What is the meaning of life?

As a young boy (6 or 7), I sometimes cried myself to sleep, outraged, disappointed, or angry because everything – people, flora, and fauna – die after a lifetime. While life simply smiles at us, the realization comes that life is ending. That all this beauty eventually disappears.
That love vanishes, that this wonderful place called Earth is temporary, the miraculous nature in which we live eventually wilt. That life is perishable. So why are and for what reason are we here?

Is it to enjoy life? To be successful? To be popular and loved? To get rich? To acquire power and prestige? To be unforgotten? To serve one God? To work hard? In order to make a contribution to society? To shit on everything? To be selfish? To love or be loved? To grow as a person? To become a better person? There are so many questions as to why we’re here but, often, when questions are answered there emerge even more questions.

Through trial and error we learn to walk. With much to do wrong, we learn to do well. When we learn the alphabet, when we go through a school, theater, music, sports, relationships – it is with a lot of practice, repeat, mistakes, love and talent that we ultimately carry something beautiful, creating, succeeding, connecting, doing well.

In this endless time and space, a lifetime is a small drop in the Pacific, a grain of sand on the beach of California (I have always wanted to be a grain of sand on the California coast).

Everywhere in the world – America, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Afghanistan, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Japan, China, North Korea, South America – people have the same emotions, they feel the same feelings and have their thoughts. From the first of mankind, to contemporary people and our future generations to come, the people all around, the same cycle of ups and downs, emotions, feelings, thoughts, intellect, education, training, work, relationships, have children, die.

There are differences, of course, including, for example: Not every emotion, feeling, thought, or mind has the same frequency. One is fear, anger, hate, love, empathy, or generosity larger than the other. Although we are unique in our “being,” we are not unique. What makes us unique is how we deal with our feelings, emotions, and thoughts; the choices we make, what emotions we feel and what kind of other experiences we have in our life.Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Atheism, Humanism, Agnosticism, or Animism – all of these have feelings, emotions, and thoughts. This is fascinating.

We have had so many enlightened minds and great thinkers in the past who have talked about and spoken universal truths, and who can be a shining, clear example for us.
Can these universal truths be the essence of our lives, unless our first necessity of life – ensuring posterity – and our continued existence as a living being?

                                                             Universal Truths

What you do not want, what they do to you, do that also not to another. Good and evil. Do not kill. Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not covet. Love one another as you love yourself. Eliminate material desires, conduct yourself ethically, and develop your Spirit. Existence is imperfect and changeable. Love is the source of the Light, the life energy, the guide of our existence.
Become the Light of God’s Eternal Light.

How are we supposed to deal with our feelings, emotions, and thoughts?? How can we put negative or bad feelings, thoughts, and emotions into a constructive, accepting, loving, and manageable feeling form instead of the destructive, degrading, despicable, evil, and uncontrolled manifestation of them? Is it not the intention to learn from your mistakes and the human good and loving essence to grow in you? Grow the Divine in yourself! Is that not the meaning of our lives? The growth of the spiritual, loving, and divine consciousness within us is the meaning of our life, in everyone’s life.

If this were to happen, there would be a totally different world, a world where the human race, at a much higher level of consciousness, could live together in the service of mankind and nature, prosperity for all living things.

Why is it so hard to be a good person?

Animals behave like animals. Only we, humans, behave beastly.

Due to the high testosterone alpha male behavior, a basic instinct, we have been misled form the beginning of time, cheated, oppressed, lied, kept ignorant, manipulated and, because power corrupts, due to repeating success of the individual, more testosterone is created, which is an addictive behavior. Therefore, power should never remain long. Power has a limited shelf life of date. In men’s aggressiveness and antisocial behavior related to testosterone levels, success, winning, power, and money tend to raise testosterone levels.

Let us rewrite history to avoid repetition. Truthful history, and do so based on universal truths.

On Death (Kahlil Gibran 1883-1931, Poet, Thinker, Writer)
You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life? The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light. If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life. For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring. Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity. Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour. Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king? Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
